Project
Develop Digital Experiences as Elegant and Exciting as the Setting.
Strategy and Creative
Hospitality juggernaut Chris Cannon tapped Kern & Lead to bring his concept to life for the web.
Needing to communicate all that JHBK offers. Including multiple and distinct dinning areas, event space, art collection and history of the Vail Mansion. We gave them a strategy that sets the table for everything they do.
We conceived a user experience unifying the concept as a whole while clearly distinguishing each separate component of the four-part dining experience.
The site conveys a modern feel and spirit of conviviality, essential to the brand. Elegantly presents the contemporary art collection, vast amenities and shares the story of the home built by Theodore N. Vail in 1917. Mr Vail was the first president of AT&T.
Then we plotted to push the boundaries of the dining experience itself. Urged by Cannon, we placed an iPad Mini in the hands of each and every guest. Creating a one-of-a-kind digital menu experience for the food & beverage program. While delighting guests, the experience also places the back of the house in real time control of content. Allowing for on-demand menu adjustments during the course 0f service.
Results
JHBK has proved an instant hit and Cannon’s palace is packed. Eater called it a “Stone Cold Stunner” winning the award for best design. One hour from Midtown Manhattan. You should reserve your helicopter shuttle now.
